The role has a dual mission:
The role requires a strong background in structuring structured transactions (acquisitions, project finance, real estate financings,…) and a strong relationships with institutional investors, banks, and non-bank lenders, as well as a deep understanding of credit markets, syndication strategies, and regulatory frameworks and delivering exceptional client service.
Through his/her relationship with banks and investors, the Syndication Manager will leverage his/her expertise to identify market opportunities, and contribute to the bank’s overall business objectives through effective relationship management and innovative financing solutions
Origination & Business Development :
Partner with Corporate Banking and CRE team to support the origination of new mandates for syndicated facilities, leveraging investor relationships to position the bank competitively.
Transaction execution & syndication :
For syndicated structured facilities (excluding Real Estate financings), and in coordination with the Relationship Manager in charge (if relevant),
structure and negotiate all aspects of the transaction, with the support of the credit analyst team lead the analysis and due diligence phase of the transaction, prepare the credit paper and present it to the relevant credit committees for approuval, and lead the negotiation of the transaction legal documentation (mandate letters, term sheets, credit agreements) and lead the distribution of the transaction to banks, investors and insurers ensuring that terms are favorable and aligned with client needs and organizational goals.
Market Intelligence & Strategy : Monitor market trends and conduct competitive analysis to identify new syndication opportunities and risks in the European and ME loan markets.
Leadership & Governance : Represent the Syndications function at internal committees
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, or similar; MBA or professional certification is a plus.
Experience: 7–10 years in loan syndication, leveraged or structured finance, preferably at a top bank or financial firm.
Track Record: Proven success in closing complex syndication deals across various industries.
Investor Network: Strong connections with European and global investors (banks, insurance companies, …)
Leadership: Effective team leader with strong influence and motivation skills.
Languages: Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Work Style: Performs well under pressure, able to juggle multiple high-priority projects.
